Our Admissions Philosophy

Onondaga Community College is an open access institution where we strive to provide individuals with the opportunity to pursue an affordable and accessible education. Our admissions philosophy is grounded in the belief that education is a fundamental right and that everyone deserves the opportunity to pursue their dreams and aspirations. Located in a city with one of the highest poverty levels in the nation, we believe that education is a pathway out of poverty. We strive to support individual goals and dreams while keeping the whole community in mind. We welcome all who are eager to learn, grow, and contribute to our college community.
